Saqsaywaman Tickets & Entrance Fee: Cusco Tourist Ticket Guide

There is no Saqsaywaman-only admission ticket. Entry to the site is included with the Cusco Tourist Ticket (Boleto Turístico del Cusco, or BTC), the official pass that covers the city's main archaeological sites. Understanding the BTC is the single most useful thing to plan before you visit.

Cusco Tourist Ticket (BTC) options

The BTC comes in two forms relevant to Saqsaywaman: Full Ticket (Boleto Integral): S/130, valid for 10 days, includes all archaeological and cultural sites around Cusco. Partial Circuit 1 (Circuito 1): S/70, valid for 1 day, includes Saqsaywaman, Q'enqo, Puka Pukara and Tambomachay—the four sites on the northern outskirts of Cusco. For most visitors who only want Saqsaywaman and its neighbours, Circuit 1 is the right choice.

Where to buy the BTC

The BTC is sold at official COSITUC offices in Cusco and at most of the included sites themselves. The main COSITUC office is on Avenida El Sol. Avoid buying from street touts near the entrance—only the official ticket is valid. Bring your passport or national ID, and note that the ticket is paper-based, so keep it safe across the day.

Practical ticket tips

• Circuit 1 is valid for a single day, so plan to see all four sites (Saqsaywaman, Q'enqo, Puka Pukara, Tambomachay) together. • Prices are quoted for foreign visitors and may change; confirm the current amount with the official COSITUC source before you travel. • There is no separate gate ticket for Saqsaywaman alone—do not expect to pay at the entrance.
